Emerging from the elite San Diego music scene in California, San Diego Music Award winner Kahlil Nash is a Funk/Rock and R&B recording artist/producer who is a multi-instrumentalist. Influenced by artists Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, and Prince, Kahlil Nash thrives to entertain his audience.
Longing for the stage, Kahlil Nash began performing when he was 3 years old. He would spend the first 10 years performing in community plays and talent showcases at local night clubs before attending a creative and performing arts school. Kahlil’s insatiable appetite would lead him to write and record his own music at 13 years old. In 2016, Kahlil self-released his 1st EP entitled ‘Elation’. On top of writing his own music, he has recently been producing and writing with various artists; Kahlil has also produced a variety of remixes such as “Finesse” by Bruno Mars ft. Cardi B., “Forgot About Dre” By Dr. Dre ft Eminem and “B.B.H.M.M.” by Rihanna for DJ Jam’s radio show on iHeart Radio’s Jam’n 95.7.
Kahlil’s music connects with the audience and has given him the opportunity to perform at a vast array of prominent venues and events; including a 2-year residency at Hard Rock Cafe San Diego, shows at House of Blues San Diego (Voodoo Room/Mainstage), San Diego County Fair, the UpFest Peace Ride (Los Angeles) and the Rise Up as One concert, where he sang back up for Grammy-nominated artist Andra Day, just to name a few.
Kahlil’s eclectic musical interest inspires him to continuously create and compose modernistic music out of his bedroom studio. This inspired his San Diego Music Award-nominated Bedroom Pop EP “Transcendence”, a collection of songs reflecting the unfolding of this young talents’ journey, inspiring love, and good vibes.
