BIO

Kahlil Nash is a musical prodigy who has been devoted to his craft since the age of three. Growing up on stage, from community theater to local talent showcases, his passion for music has always driven him forward. His formal training at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts helped refine his skills in musical theater, quickly establishing him as an artist to watch in the local scene.

Throughout his career, Kahlil has achieved milestones that many only dream of. He’s sung background vocals for Grammy Award-winner Andra Day and produced remixes for DJ Jam on iHeart Radio’s Jam’n 95.7. By thirteen, he held a residency at the Hard Rock Cafe, and by sixteen, he had already organized his first EP release party, showing both his musical and entrepreneurial spirit early on.

Kahlil’s dedication was truly tested during the 2020 pandemic when he released his second EP, Transcendence, recorded entirely in his bedroom. The EP won the 2021 San Diego Music Award for Best R&B, Soul, or Funk Album, marking a major turning point in his career. His third EP, Imagine, continued his upward trajectory, earning him yet another nomination and solidifying his place in the music industry.

As his career progressed, Kahlil has continuously evolved while staying true to his roots. From performing on Yamaha’s NAMM mainstage to securing a PRS Guitars sponsorship, his performances have taken him across San Diego and beyond. Notably, he opened for Damian Marley and Koffee at Bayfest, showcasing his versatility and ability to connect with a wide audience.

Kahlil’s artistry transcends genres, often drawing comparisons to icons like Prince for his musicianship and willingness to push creative boundaries. He draws from a wide range of influences, blending R&B, rock, reggae, and soul into his music. Songs like “Get 2 Know Ya” and the reggae-infused “Everything I Do” featuring Alex Marley highlight his ability to weave different styles into his unique sound.

In a world where many musicians feel pressured to follow trends, Kahlil’s commitment to authenticity stands out. He sees his role as an artist as more than just making music—he strives to connect with people, tell meaningful stories, and bring joy to his audience. Whether performing at intimate venues or major stages, Kahlil Nash continues to captivate audiences, blending raw talent with years of dedication to create unforgettable musical experiences.
